An Australian influencer and TikTok sensation, known for sharing candid behind-the-scenes moments of parenting her three children, has shared her rather unique “fetish”.
Indy Clinton has amassed two million followers on TikTok by sharing the adventures and chaos of her family, which includes her husband, Ben Azar, and their three children: Navy, 4, Bambi, 2, and Soul, 11 months.
At the 2024 TikTok Awards this week, the mom blogger, known for “keeping it real,” admitted she wants to expand her family because she has a “fetish” about childbirth.
“TikTok launched, I just evolved, I got a few babies, there might be a few more,” she told news.com.au.
“I definitely want a few more – I’m young so I’ve got time on my hands.”
“I just feel like, if I’m going to have a gap, I don’t want them to be lonely, that’s kind of bad.”
“I love giving birth, it’s a weird fetish of mine,” she laughed.
“Pushing a baby out is really cool, is that weird? I love it, but I’ve also had three incredible births and obviously, everyone’s story is different if there were any, but for me, I love it. I’ll push a baby for you any day, baby.”
When asked if she has any names in mind for her future children, Clinton revealed: “No, I’ve told everyone. It seems to me that every child is very different. The names I had for Bambi wouldn’t work for Soul.”
She then joked about her love of unconventional baby names, saying: “Knowing me, it would be ‘Tree’ or ‘Car’ and ‘Park’ for the twins.”
This comes after Clinton was criticized by fans for comments she made about her “comeback” after pregnancy.
She has been vocal to her followers about her “hard work” and “dedication” to losing the postpartum weight, but some have been less than impressed with her views.
On the Aussie TikTok Snark Reddit forum, a user posted a thread titled, “Bounce Back Culture” and referenced both Clinton and her fellow influencer, Sarah Stevenson, known as Sarah Day online.
The person claimed that people can be put off by how quickly influencers get back to their pre-baby weight.
They then referred to a TikTok video in which Clinton told people: “Please don’t assume that my point of view was ‘thin.’
“I put on 25kg with the Soul, I’m tall so it spread. I put on a lot of weight with all my pregnancies, but I’m constantly waking up at 5am to exercise and eating in a calorie deficit.”
“I’ve been extremely disciplined in my training and eating to get to where I am today – there’s no such thing as a ‘comeback’ after three kids.”
She then asked her followers not to “discredit hard work”, but they still hit back, arguing that “a host of factors” can play a role in weight loss.
“It bothers me that she can’t accept that genetics is a part of her,” one person wrote.
“I just hate how she’s so black and white about ‘you’ll lose weight eating in a calorie deficit,'” someone else replied.
Steph Claire Smith, another mom and influencer, said sidereal last weekend that she also hates the “return” culture.
“We polled about 15,000 women in our community and four out of five of them felt that pressure to come back after having a baby, which is terrible,” she told him. Something to talk about podcast.
“I’ve been through my own journey with my body image and disordered eating and what I’ve learned along the way is that it’s not worth it.”
“When you end up with your mental health and your energy and everything when you try to sacrifice so much or do absolutely everything in your power to look a certain way, you rarely get to a point where you’re actually happy.”
